Arenal River Drift

Sky Arenal River Drift is the newest adventure attraction near to Arenal Volcano.  A new concept with speed, height and water.  Full of Adventure in your personal raft.

Combination: River drift, zip line and jump in a free style fal to the river. 

We offer the perfect combination of three activities in the area surrounding Arenal Volcano.

This activity is only half an hour from La Fortuna and the surrounding hotels.

• The adventure and fun starts with a short hike on greenery lined trails that will take us to the first elevated platform. From the platform we will travel through the forest from platform to platform by way of ziplines. 1200 meters of cables made from the latest carbon-fiber technology allow you to soar through the tree tops while enjoying the impressive views of Lake Arenal and Arenal Volcano.

• After the excitement of ziplining through the treetops we’ll arrive at a platform located 40 meters up in a tree. From there we rappel down to the Río Piedras Negras (Black Rock River). This controlled descent is managed by your own hands using innovative equipment that allows you to control your velocity. Specialized equipment is used to make sure you get the best thrill out of the experience while being absolutely safe too.

• The tour or descent of 2.7 km of river will be done with your own personal inflatable inner tube providing stability and protection. As you descend the river beautiful scenery of tropical rainforest and river canyons surrounds you on both sides; the river has various sections of rapids that add excitement and adrenaline as well.

• During the tour you’ll be accompanied by professional guides who will provide assistance when necessary and always be vigilant for your personal safety. 

Duration:

Two and a half hours (from the departure point of the tour; this does not include the time to travel from your hotel to the CR Sky Adventure Park).

Recommendations:

• Closed toe shoes suitable for hiking and aquatic activities. Do not wear flip flops.
• Bring extra clothing to change in to at the end of the excursion.
• Maximum permitted weight is 98 kg (216 lbs).
• Minimum height of 140 cm (4 ft. 7 inches)
